
My love for and fascination with software started over 30 years ago with my first job out of college. It began with databases and has grown over time to include all kinds of B2B and B2C offerings. And my love for different roles has grown too - in product, sales, marketing, business operations, strategy, and leadership.
I’ve been fortunate enough to witness all kinds of market ups and downs, which has helped me build and scale some remarkable companies, lead teams through tremendous growth, and orchestrate many successful exits. The common thread throughout these experiences is working with people who are not only great human beings but who want to create meaningful, impactful products to help other businesses grow.
Prior to joining Insight, I sold three companies, led three through IPO, facilitated two spin-offs, and executed more than 15 acquisitions. I was the Chief Operating Officer of HelloSign (which Dropbox acquired in 2019 for $230M), built the enterprise business at Box as GM and CMO, was Chief Marketing Officer of the Information Intelligence Group at EMC, and VP & GM of Documentum. I sit on the Board of Directors for Paycor, Trengo, and BlueOcean, and am honored to advise many other companies.
I split my home time between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe. I love to ski, hike, and cook. I even write my own food blog, Whit’s Kitchen. In 2017, I was recognized as one of the top 40 Women in Revenue, and in 2015, as one of the World’s 100 Most Innovative CMOs. Some other awards I’m proud of are the 2009 Silicon Valley Women of Influence and 2003 Top 40 Under 40.
Founders building creative and innovative solutions to the world’s most challenging problems are my inspiration. Being part of Insight as a Managing Director allows me to leverage my past successes and failures to help build the next generation of great companies alongside my colleagues.
