Operator, problem solver, curious mind. Lover of technology and its power to transform. I get energized working with founders to build businesses and teams that last. I've spent decades gathering experience—across multiple successes and of course a few failures—and I thrive on fresh challenges that every new situation brings. Bias to listen and learn. Lifelong traveler and sailor.

As an Operating Partner at Insight since 2019, I serve on the boards of multiple consumer internet, subscription, and marketplace companies, including HomeToGo, N26, Lightricks, Joytunes, and Blinkist. From 2010-2015 I led one of Insight’s portfolio companies, Shutterstock, as President/COO, growing revenue from $60M to over $300M and completing a successful IPO (NYSE: SSTK). I was interim-CEO of Weight Watchers from 2016 to 2017, where I had previously been COO and built the digital business from 2000 to 2008. I continue serving on the Board (NASDAQ:WW) and most recently led the search for a new CEO in 2022.

Earlier in my career in the 90s, I launched Motorola's first consumer wireless "communicator" (the Envoy) and then Motorola’s first cable modem. In 1996, I joined The Boston Consulting Group, focusing on Consumer and Technology strategy, and helped launch Sotheby’s online auction business in 1999.

I'm an activist for global hunger as Co-Chair of Action Against Hunger - USA, a global humanitarian organization. I hold a dual master’s degree from MIT in Management and Electrical Engineering, and a BA in Engineering and Computer Science from Dartmouth College. My wife and I are proud New Yorkers and live by Sutton Place.
