Taylor Thompson joined Insight in 2021 and is Managing Director and Co-General Counsel.
Prior to joining Insight, Taylor was Principal, Associate General Counsel North America at TowerBrook Capital Partners, where he was responsible for transactional, legal and compliance matters across TowerBrook's private equity and structured opportunities funds. Taylor began his legal career as an Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions group in the New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he advised strategic and financial sponsor clients on a range of transactions and corporate governance matters. Before joining Davis Polk, Taylor was an Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and an Analyst at Citigroup. Taylor has a B.A. in History from Yale University and a J.D. from NYU School of Law.
Taylor was born in Arkansas, raised in California and now, after 16 years, considers himself an official New Yorker. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and two children and enjoys reading, skiing and spending time with his family.
