Skylar joined Insight in 2023. Before joining the investment team, she worked at J Ventures, an early-stage fund where she led their sourcing effort. Prior to that, she spent time as a Private Equity analyst at Step Stone Group.

Skylar graduated with honors from New York University with a BS/BFA in Data Science and Film Production from the Stern-Tisch dual degree program, with a minor in Computer Science and Math. While at NYU, she created a podcast, Founder Friendly, interviewing founders and VC partners. Also, during undergrad, Skylar produced a short film that went on to premiere at Cannes Film Festival.

A lifelong New Yorker, Skylar spends her free time exploring different neighborhoods, looking for the best breakfast spots and antique stores. She also enjoys comedy shows, running, and meticulously curating Spotify playlists.
