When I applied to Insight, I was worried that nobody would be able to connect the dots between the experiences on my resume. I started my career in management consulting at Bain & Company, where I advised Fortune 500 technology and healthcare companies on strategy and operations. I then moved to East Africa and worked in international development at the World Bank, followed by a stint crafting economic development policy in the Chicago Mayor’s Office. After moving to Silicon Valley, I worked in product management at Quizlet, an early-stage education technology company whose core product is used by more than 50 million students every month. And then when the global pandemic hit, I supported the State of Massachusetts COVID Command Center with increasing PCR testing capacity, safely reopening schools, testing nursing homes, and distributing the first vaccine doses to frontline healthcare workers.
The common thread behind these experiences is a passion for organizations tackling hard and important problems with audacious goals and awesome teams. I feel lucky today to work with organizations embodying that passion day in and day out. Here at Insight, I lead diligences of new investments in early and growth-stage technology companies, and then after we invest, partner with management teams to help build extraordinary businesses.
I’m a graduate of Stanford Graduate School of Business (MBA), Harvard Kennedy School (MPA), and Vanderbilt University (BA), and served on Vanderbilt’s Board of Trustees from 2014-2018. I’m originally from the Chicago suburbs, and outside of work, I enjoy fitness, biking, exploring NYC, and losing to my friends at Texas hold ’em poker.
