
Matt Gatto is a Managing Director at Insight Partners, where he has spent his entire career investing in high-growth software and SaaS businesses. Since joining the firm as an analyst in 2010, he has partnered with more than 40 companies across cybersecurity, developer tools, digital commerce enablement, healthcare IT, and broader enterprise SaaS.
Matt’s current portfolio includes Camunda, CentralReach, commercetools, DataSnipper, Exclaimer, Jellyfish, SecureW2, SignUp Software, SonarSource, and Transmit Security. He has also led investments in and worked closely with companies such as AirWatch (acquired by VMware), BMC (acquired by KKR), Checkmarx (acquired by Hellman & Friedman), Cherwell Software (acquired by KKR), Darktrace (IPO), Dazz (acquired by Wiz), Fenergo (acquired by Astorg and Bridgepoint), Kinnser (acquired by WellSky), Kira (acquired by Litera), Shopify (IPO), Storable (acquired by EQT), and Tenable (IPO).
Matt earned dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology, graduating magna cum laude with a BS in Economics from Wharton and a BS in Engineering.
Matt lives in New York City with his wife and daughter. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, as well as playing golf and padel.
