Born in a ‘Marwari’ family, an Indian ethnic group known for its entrepreneurial acumen, I grew up living and breathing entrepreneurship.
I was introduced early on to the world of sales, product and profits. Helping my family business on a product launch or managing a few retail stores when someone was on vacation were some of my responsibilities as a kid.
While working towards my Bachelors in Technology at IIT Kanpur — one of the leading tech institutions that has nurtured tech leaders and entrepreneurs — I was introduced to the world of startups. I worked with and supported several ambitious engineer-founders trying to solve challenging world problems using cutting-edge technology. We failed at many and were moderately successful at a few. I loved the experience! I had found my passion and knew that I wanted to dedicate the next few decades of my life in service of daring founders looking to build legendary businesses using the power of technology.
I joined Insight in 2021, where my focus areas are global high-growth fintech, internet and software companies from Series A to pre-IPO stages. I am an operator at heart and enjoy working with founders on everything product, finance and strategy. Before joining Insight, I managed operations for a $300M+ consumer business at ITC, one of the largest consumer-product firms in India, and led technology investments at a leading Indian early-stage investment fund. I have also spent time with Baring Private Equity Asia, a leading middle-market private equity fund, and Fidelity Investments.
Beyond work, you’ll find me learning new dance forms (seven & counting!), indulging in regional cinemas, exploring undiscovered restaurants in the streets of New York and traveling around the world.
