If there’s one thing I have learned about investing, it’s that people choose to work with people. At the end of the day, it’s not about the firms; it’s about the people we choose to work with who are building solutions that fundamentally add value to individuals, businesses, and other organizations.

My Insight career started by chance. Insight was recruiting for summer internships at the University of Michigan, where I graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration with high distinction from the Ross School of Business. I didn’t know much about the firm then, but I applied, landed an interview, and ultimately was offered an internship. After that, I was offered a full-time return offer, signed it on the spot, and never looked back.

I’ve been with Insight full-time since 2014. Since then, I have invested more than $2 billion across enterprise and consumer technology and executed over 40 acquisitions for companies in the Insight portfolio. These investments span various end markets, including real estate and the built environment, fintech and healthcare. I currently lead several of Insight’s active investments, including IAD, CoreLogic, HqO, Chargebee, and Clarify Health, among others. Outside of my investing and portfolio work, I’m an active mentor to junior staff and help direct firmwide sourcing strategy.

I love that we are working with people actively innovating in large categories that are often slow to change or adapt. It pays to take risks, fight for the things you care about most, and be willing to adapt on the fly when a situation warrants a shift in perspective or action.

At the end of the day, Insight has some of the highest quality people I have met anywhere, in a professional environment or otherwise. Employees are given autonomy to try new things, even at a junior level, and that pays dividends. I especially appreciate that as a firm, we have created a space where people can develop their careers, starting from a summer intern and moving up the ranks to leadership roles. I couldn’t feel more excited to be here.
