Building a Scalable Enterprise Sales Organization

At the time of Insight’s investment, SonarSource had no quota-carrying sales reps, minimal hiring processes, and unstructured sales cycles. To enable predictable revenue growth, Insight Onsite:

- Supported Key Leadership Hires: Helped recruit a VP of Sales and build an inside sales team in the U.S., establishing a foundation for enterprise expansion.

- Developed a Centralized Buying Process: Conducted workshops with SonarSource’s team to introduce structured procurement processes, reducing lengthy, buyer-controlled sales cycles.

- Implemented Pipeline Management Best Practices: Trained sales teams in rigorous and accurate pipeline forecasting, improving deal visibility and execution efficiency.

Key Results & Impact

- Established a High-Performing Enterprise Sales Team: Insight’s hiring and leadership development support enabled SonarSource to build a robust sales organization.

- Accelerated Revenue Growth: The enterprise sales team generated high tens of millions in annual bookings, reflecting substantial revenue expansion (TechCrunch, 2022).

- Expanded Global Developer Adoption: SonarSource’s solutions now support over 7 million developers and 400,000 organizations worldwide (SonarSource, 2024).

- Increased Sales Efficiency & Predictability: Improved pipeline management and central buying processes enhanced SonarSource’s ability to scale enterprise sales sustainably.
