Mediapassage was a high tech company that linked advertising agencies with newspapers and magazines. Mediapassage made its mark by developing a system in which advertisers could more efficiently plan, place and buy advertisements in newspapers and magazines. Acting as a clearinghouse, the company generated revenue through both advertisers and media outlets. Advertisers such as VoiceStream, BankOne and Washington Mutual used the service, as did major metropolitan newspapers such as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and San Francisco Chronicle Marketplace for newspaper ad buying.
